La Marca Prosecco Review

Today’s social distancing beverage review isn’t a beer, but a split of La Marca Prosecco as a small celebratory drink during these “inside” times. It kind of feels like when I was a child and barred from going outside when the weather was uncooperative, spare I couldn’t drink as a child. Let’s get into it.

This prosecco is light in color and crystal clear. It’s extremely effervescent, but the plastic flutes we had available seemed to have weird nucleation sites so the small bubbles coalesced together to make large bubbles that stuck to the side.

Its aroma is dry, with a note of sweetness. The bubbles crackle open at the surface and speckle my nose. It tickles a little, and it’s intoxicating with each inhale.

A medium-dry, fully-acceptable crisp taste of apple, lemon, and grapefruit – It’s tasty, that’s for sure, and was rather pleasant to sip as my girlfriend and I had a virtual hangout with her family. A word of warning though, the very second this drink is no longer refrigerator cold its quality goes down quickly. Otherwise, it’s a delightful drink.

The next review will be back to our regularly scheduled beer programming, fear not!
